Piotr Jaros is a Polish artist born in 1965. He is mostly exhibited in Poland, but also had exhibitions in Germany, Hungary and elsewhere. Jaros has 5 solo shows and 24 group shows over an 26 year period. He has also been in two art fairs and in 4 biennials. The most important show was Piotr Jaros: Umarmen. The Miracle of Sight at Ludwig Museum - Museum of Contemporary Art - Budapest in Budapest in 1996. Other important shows were at Hamburger Bahnhof - Museum für Gegenwart in Berlin and Manifesta - European Biennial of Contemporary Art in Amsterdam. Piotr Jaros has been exhibited with Zbigniew Libera and Artur Zmijewski. Piotr Jaros’s art is in 3 museum collections, at Ludwig Museum - Museum of Contemporary Art - Budapest in Budapest and Centre for Contemporary Art Ujazdowski Castle in Warsaw among others.
He presented his work during his stay at the institute and realized the solo exhibition "Kantor" at the Haus zum Palmbaum in cooperation with Freiraum-Stipendium and Cabaret Voltaire. The exhibition was honored in the Tages-Anzeiger with a large portrait.
